About UsOur livery stables are set in the stunning rural village of Ramsbury in Wiltshire, approximately 5 miles from the town of Hungerford. The area is very close to the beautiful area known as the Lambourn Valley "Valley of the Racehorse". There is excellent access to the M4 motorway, to both junction 14 and 15. |
HistoryThe stables were founded by the present owner, Charlotte Martin in 2001. Charlotte has ridden from a very young age and was an active member of the Craven Pony Club. She initially was interested in the showing world where she competed at County Level and at the Ponies UK championships several times. However during her teenage years she became increasingly involved in show jumping and particularly eventing. She has successfully evented up to intermediate level with placings at several international threeday events. She particularly enjoys producing young horses as she finds it very rewarding. After school she went to Durham University where upon she then furthered her equine interest by successfully completing a MBA (Masters in Business Administration) in Equine Business Management at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. It was the finishing of this degree that made her mind up to set up her own equine business. |
StaffWe have two full-time members of staff. One who is responsible for the yard and pasture maintenance and another to help Charlotte with riding out and schooling. |
Competition VenuesThere are several excellent equestrian centres which we use on a regular basis . These include West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Blewbury Centre, Hand Equestrian, Summer House Equestrian Centre and further afield Addington Equestrian Centre. Both unaffiliated and affiliated events take place at these venues. For cross-country schooling we mainly go to Tweseldown in Hampshire as it has a sand surface. |
Veterinary SurgeonsWe use O'Gorman Slater and Main in Newbury who have excellent facilities and are most well thought off. They offer 24hr call out. |
FarriersWe have an excellent and most reliable team of farriers led by Noel Reid who are on call everyday. |
