Eventing - November 2009 Eighty-seven duos started the competition, with the best of the British being Charlotte Martin and King of Hearts in 11th place.
Charlotte, 31, runs her own competition and livery yard near Hungerford and has been receiving help from Kenneth Clawson. She has been riding the nine-year-old gelding since 2006.
"We loved Lignieres," said Charlotte's mother, Elizabeth Martin. "It was very well organised but most people agreed that the one-star cross-country was more like a one-and-a-half stars."
